About
The expensive mistake isn't building badly. It's building the wrong thing.
Most solo founders don't fail because they can't build. They fail because they spend months building something nobody asked for — and nobody around them was positioned to say so early enough to matter. No co-founder to push back. No research team to run the study. Just conviction, alone, untested.
Hypothis exists to be the voice that tells you the truth before the six months are spent — not after. It turns a raw idea into testable hypotheses, runs real research with real customers, and rolls the evidence into a verdict you can act on: build it, refine it, keep testing, or walk away.
We built it because the two alternatives are both broken. AI-only "validators" hand you a confident-sounding guess with no real customer behind it. DIY surveys and spreadsheets take real customers but weeks of study design most founders don't have. Hypothis is real customers plus the rigor, without the weeks.
The name comes from the hypothesis — a claim specific enough that evidence could prove it wrong. Every idea is a stack of untested hypotheses about the problem, the customer, and what they'd pay. Hypothis makes them explicit and tests them, one at a time.
What we believe
Honesty is the feature
A "weak demand" verdict gets the same craft as "build it." We'd rather be the tool that told you the truth than the one that flattered you into a bad six months.
Evidence over enthusiasm
Every verdict traces back to real customer responses. No vanity metrics, no confidence without something underneath it.
Rigor shouldn't take weeks
Screeners, Mom-Test-disciplined questions, and structured verdicts — normally the job of a research team — compressed into something one founder can run.
A no is a win
Killing a bad idea cheaply, in weeks instead of months, is success — not failure. That's the outcome we optimize for.
